The Isle of Man Foundations Act received Royal Assent on Tuesday 15th November 2011. The Act provides for Isle of Man-based foundations which will be recorded on a public register and represented by a local registered agent. So far, only promotional material has appeared on the web using obvious statements in respect of private foundations.
